LOST

In the gust of youthful madness
In the rebellious winds of change
The fine, white powder of innocence
Got blown away and was lost
To a place
Where even space
Ceases to exist

In the downpour of burdening agony
In the untimely dampener of fortune
The porous, brittle lump of conscience
Dissolved down and was lost
To a place
Where even space
Ceases to exist

In the onslaught of burning pain
In the unbearable heat that wilts away all the goodness
The thin, fragile sheet of sanity
Melted, gave way and was lost
To a place
Where even space
Ceases to exist

Lost so much, this poor being
Nothing more he's got to lose
Only he's left to choose
Between the two paths
Forking apart from where he stands
Not much of a genius' riddle it is
One leads to deconstruction
The other to salvation

Madness

Madness is never invited. No mortal is mad by choice. Madness is like an unwanted, uninvited, shameless guest who just drops by to say 'hello' anytime no matter how fucked up you are.
